SPORTING HISTORY

Sports are a vital part of our curriculum. The ISSA Digicel Football Competition, Netball and Cricket programmes are an integral part of our programmes, with students participating in the DaCosta Cup, netball, and cricket competitions annually. Again in 2008, we topped Zone E matches in the DaCosta Cup Competitions ahead of St Elizabeth Technical High School and Munro College. Our team earned a spot in the semi-finals and finished third nationally.

We also entered a few students for the Boys and Girls Athletics Championships and although they did not win, the fact that they had qualified to enter was indeed another milestone for us.

Sasha-Gaye Spence, a member of the girls’ football team, is now on a scholarship in the United States of America and Romony Hylton was selected on the ISSA Digicel DaCosta Cup Caribbean Team competition and spent 10 days in Antigua playing on the Caribbean Team.
